Job Description

This position is responsible for supporting the company’s Less than Truckload (LTL) and consolidation pricing activities.  Including new and current business analysis, maintenance of pricing agreements and contracts, uploading data into rating system, and tariff pricing expiration details. In addition, this role will utilize logistics knowledge to provide optimized pricing solutions.

The successful candidate will have strong attention to detail, be proficient at using Excel and data visualization software for ad hoc research and analysis, be able to describe how data is collected and reported, ask good business questions, and effectively present their findings to multiple stakeholders

Qualifications

  • Build models for new clients based on provided data sets, including but not limited to mode optimization, cross-client opportunities, SB/NB consolidation, and pool distribution.
  • Analyze and price managed transportation and cross-border multi-mode solutions.
  • Interacts with clients in RFP presentations for support with technical aspects and Q&A.
  • Works directly with sales and operations to construct pricing and cost save initiatives for current clients.
  • Reviews consolidation network for optimization, efficiency gains, and recommendations for new consolidation points.
  • Ability to problem solve rating issues that arise with Accounting and Operations teams.  Root cause rate discrepancies with AR/AP teams.
  • Functions as TMS optimization software super-user to support the business operational needs.
  • Other duties as required and assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum 1-year related experience non-Asset brokerage operations or Truckload pricing or LTL pricing.
  • Experience in a 3PL environment preferred.
  • Experience with Transportation Management Systems.  Mercury Gate knowledge helpful but not required.
