Psychometric Implementation Manager

The Psychometrics Implementation Manager is responsible for supporting the operations efforts of the department to best meet the needs of the business. This includes driving process improvements, adherence, and efficiencies through standardized workflows, processing specifications, and documentation. A strong desire and ability to build effective working relationships with key stakeholders across the organization and to translate psychometrics and business needs is critical. The implementation manager will work on complex non-routine problems, pulling in appropriate resources as necessary to ensure solutions are fully vetted, valid, and implementable. This is a remote position.

Principal Activities

  • Monitor current workflow processes, identify opportunities for improvement, design, document, and implement improvements.
  • Support Research Scientists and Statistical Analysts by attending cross functional schedule meetings and negotiating schedules on their behalf.
  • Translate technical psychometric solutions for non-technical audiences and help to determine the best path forward when solutioning to meet high technical quality standards and the business needs.
  • Help to define, document, articulate, and implement department standard operating procedures across contracts.
  • Exercise initiative and think critically as new challenges arise, generate solutions, review with leaders as necessary, and define the specifications that will allow others to implement the solution.
  • Influence people without having direct management.
  • Effectively engage and present to all levels within the organization; educate employees about psychometric procedures and reasons behind best practices.

Minimum Qualifications Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of three years of experience working in K-12 educational assessment preferably with a psychometric team
  • Demonstrated initiative to improve processes and scheduling
  • JIRA (or other team collaboration software)
  • MS Project, Smartsheets (or other scheduling software)

Other Qualifications

  • An in-depth understanding of the psychometric work-flow necessary to support the development, delivery, and use of assessments
  • Ability to analyze information, problems, situations, anticipate potential problems and develop preventative measures
  • Self-driven and self-motivator with the ability to have a positive influence on others
  • Ability to identify, evaluate and implement new strategies to generate efficiencies of all related operational processes
  • Makes sound, well-informed, and objective decisions; perceives the impact and implications of decisions; commits to action, even in uncertain situations, to accomplish organizational goals; is a change agent for the organization
  • Is open to change and new information; adapts behavior or work methods in response to new information, changing conditions, or unexpected obstacles; effectively deals with ambiguity

Compensation at Pearson is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific location. As required by the Colorado, California, Washington State, New York State and New York City laws, the pay range for this position is as follows:

The minimum full-time salary range is between $90,000 - $100,000.
