PT MD - Supervising Psychiatrist

TITLE: Supervising Psychiatrist (TN - Remote)

TYPE: 100% Remote, 1099 Contract, Part-time (4 hours/week during the semester, 2 hours/week during the winter and summer break. Opportunity to grow this alongside our customers).

Wellround Provider Group is the exclusive virtual clinic serving Mantra Health, a digital mental health care company on a mission to improve young people's mental healthcare access through clinical services, software, and design. We are seeking a part-time, TN based Supervising Psychiatrist (MD or DO) to join our growing company. Led by a clinician with deep roots in college mental health, Mantra is committed to ensuring the delivery of evidence-based, innovative approaches to college mental health care by supporting therapy and psychiatric service providers. Our providers are passionate about helping students while working in a supportive and dynamic virtual clinic environment, working side-by-side with campus services at universities and colleges, such as MIT, Cornell, and the University of Minnesota, to help to bring access to excellent collaborative mental healthcare to students nationwide.

Through this role, you will be joining a team seeking to provide wraparound services to address the growing demand for student mental health.

PATIENT POPULATION:

A diverse student population (within the average age range of 18-22) struggling with mood disturbances (anxiety/depression), adjustment disorders, ADHD symptoms, and/or PTSD symptoms.

Wellround Provider Group does not treat severe mental illnesses (schizophrenia, psychosis, and severe substance use disorder). Wellround does not prescribe controlled substances. Referrals are provided with outside agencies by our care navigation team to ensure that needed intensive treatment is accessible to these clients.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Your work with Mantra will be split between patient care and NP Supervision

You will keep a small caseload of students

You will supervise Nurse Practitioner(s) in Tennessee as required by the state

Conduct regular chart reviews in accordance to the state regulations, using our chart review process for Nurse Practitioner(s)

Support Nurse Practitioners in addressing clinical questions, providing clinical clarifications, and escalating any issues to our clinical leadership team.

Interact with Medical Director and Collaborating Physician team on a regular cadence

Some night and weekend availability may be required

REQUIREMENTS:

Active MD or DO license in good standing in Tennessee (residence in TN required)

Must be willing to travel or host NP(s) onsite for supervision requirements

Previous experience supervising Nurse Practitioners in a clinical setting

Comfortable using computers and video-conferencing software; previous telemedicine experience a plus

Strong verbal communicator, presents well, excellent interpersonal skills

Some previous experience working with transitional-aged youth/college students is strongly preferred but not required

Compensation based on experience - 100% Remote
