Joining our team at Public Preparatory Network
The DYCD Education Specialist will be responsible for ensuring alignment of the Girls Prep after-school program with the overall academic objectives of the school. The Education Specialist will primarily work closely with Activity Specialists, Teachers and external subcontractors to ensure the success of each of the students in the After-School program. The Education Specialist must consistently plan for, and monitor, the progress of each of their students to meet this responsibility.
The DYCD Education Specialist also assesses the needs of Special Education students within the General Education student body. They ensure that all activities are accessible to all students and work collaboratively with the Director of Inclusive Learning and other members of the academic and DYCD team to ensure that after-school activity lesson plans align with IEP/504 needs.
The DYCD Education Specialist also coordinates and assists with the administrative and operational functions of the program. This includes managing attendance, pulling reports, taking the lead on family communication initiatives and assisting with behavior management as well as special events.
The DYCD Education Specialist is a 12 month employee.
