Job Description

Publicis Sapient/PS is looking for a Director of Strategy and Consulting to oversee our retail media strategy offering in EMEA. As a Director, you will be responsible for partnering with our retail media network portfolio of clients to drive revenue growth and enhanced performance through impactful consulting. You will provide strong retail media thought leadership and will work closely with cross capability teams to align revenue goals and objectives, whilst delivering the best return for our clients and their advertisers.

 

You will be responsible for driving revenue growth through the monetization of our clients’ vast first-party data and media impression assets and cultivate targeted advertising sales across their retail media networks. You will also strategize to support the growth of PS’ retail media operation in EMEA and will work with industry renowned capabilities to promote stand-out case studies and thought leadership.

 

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of retail media networks, data-driven solutions, platforms and advertising sales strategies. A proven track record of strategizing, implementing and optimising retail media advertising campaigns and developing and closing customized sales is required.

 

Your impact:

  • Consulting with and advising clients on optimal retail media strategies that are aligned to overall corporate objectives.
  • Leading the creation of retail media opportunity forecasts and business cases at any stage maturity media network from stage 0 and beyond.
  • Overseeing retail media campaigns on behalf of clients and showcasing results in response to jointly defined business outcomes.
  • Embedding yourself in customer teams and working with them as a trusted partner to help optimise existing retail media operations and support longer term strategies.  
  • Subject matter expert for PS’ EMEA region and working with capability and industry leads to implement industry acclaimed retail media solutions.
  • Demonstrating thought leadership in the area of retail media and this will underpin innovative client solutions and PS’ regional go to market strategy.
  • Support with wider sales activities and RFP management.

Qualifications

  • Consulting and delivery experience with retail media networks and data-driven advertising sales.
  • Proven track record of success in driving revenue growth through the monetization of media networks and data assets.
  • Ability to understand the interconnected nature of first-party data, creative assets, campaign KPIs, attribution and closed-loop measurement, and differentiated activation channels to achieve overall campaign objectives.
  • Familiarity with technology stack required for retail media networks, including cloud platforms, server side SSPs, sponsored search and promoted display ad tech, CDP, Cleanroom, identity resolution, among others.
  • Experienced and knowledgeable in the different buyer archetypes purchasing from both traditional media networks and retail media networks.
  • Experience of supporting revenue growth for a retail media operations and automation.
  • Strategic view enabling recommendations to clients to enable their next stage of growth.
  • Ability to work across different skill sets within Publicis Sapient including Strategy, Product, Engineering, Experience and Data.
  • Adept at elevating and clearly explaining the benefits of retail media network campaigns when not associated with a seasonality or event calendar.
  • Proficient at navigating the complex organizational structures of retail media network clients, as well as their counterparts within companies purchasing advertisements.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to leverage data to drive insights and revenue growth.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Skilled at identifying and communicating the benefits of retail media networks, including how they support print or point-of-sale initiatives.
  • Ability to develop and nurture Trusted Partner-level relationships with both C-suite client contacts and internal stakeholders via a strong POV and understanding of client needs.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong global leadership capability to manage large teams as required and lead change while inspiring and developing others.
  • Flexible and mobile, able to work in a hybrid WFH, office, and travel environment as the role necessitates.
