Quality Analyst - job 2 of 2

As a Quality Analyst, you will use your creative problem-solving skills to apply our testing methodology and verify changes that we make to our workflows, processes, and systems. This role is part of the Business Technology team at USLI, which operates as the bridge between the business and Information Technology. We guide the business as they make decisions about changes to our systems by offering creative solutions that safeguard our underwriting integrity and ensuring changes are sustainable for future growth. You will be on a team that builds and updates the systems for the entire company, and you’ll have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects with us!

Your Specific Role:
You will be working within a team of other Quality Analysts and Developers to plan, test, and implement changes into our systems. You should be able to develop expertise in underwriting and/or other areas of our business to create and execute test plans. This role collaborates with individuals who work on implementing business decisions as well as those who create the infrastructure needed to support those business decisions. You will be expected to understand our business needs by learning our products, processes, and workflows and to question and constructively challenge our conventional practices. Responsibilities also include providing options and offering solutions to ensure the end product is delivered efficiently, accurately, and within scope as well as offering clarification or guidance to IT developers on specifications.
Top candidates will have strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills and enjoy working in a collaborative team environment. The changes we make to our systems can be technical and complex, and require well-developed communication skills and attention to detail. You must be able to independently prioritize your workload and adapt quickly to changing business needs. A college degree or equivalent experience is required. AINS, RPLU, or CPCU are preferred and CTFL (Certified Tester Foundation Level) is a plus.
