Position Overview

Daily Harvest is looking for a Quality Assurance Associate Documentation Specialist to join our Innovation + Operations team. The Innovation + Operations team operationalizes the Daily Harvest mission from conception to delivery. We ideate and bring our food to life. We source ingredients and build supply chains, we create sustainable packaging solutions, ensure food safety, and instill production capabilities that benefit our customers, our partners, and our planet. All of this is done to ensure on-time deliveries and a perfect experience for our customers.

Daily Harvest is looking for a Quality Assurance Associate Documentation specialist, to maintain, improve and assist the Quality Systems programs with strong emphasis in Document Control Management. The incumbent will serve as subject matter expert (SME) for Vendor's electronic document management system (eDOCS) . In addition to controlling documents throughout their lifecycle, the person will also be responsible for requesting documents for new and existing ingredients.

What you'll do:

  • Creates, revises, and maintains records of Vendor documents including but not limited to Audit reports, HACCP plan, EMP programs, Product specification, Allergen programs etc.
  • Contact suppliers and maintain up-to-date raw material documents including allergens, gluten, GMO, Kosher/Halal, etc.
  • Supports manufacturing sites by maintaining access to relevant compliance and conformance documentation
  • Ensures that all required information is available for review and approval of all raw materials
  • Partners with Sourcing, Culinary, Manufacturing and Planning teams to resolve any queries on the status of suppliers or specific required documentation
  • Works closely with a cross functional team to maintain approval for redundant and alternative supply base
  • Handles confidential and proprietary information appropriately, providing sufficient detail for the target audience while protecting all parties involved
  • Challenges the status quo to improve ways of working, being vocal with ideas about current processes and systems
  • Effectively communicate continuous improvement opportunities to key stakeholders
  • Other duties as assigned

Who you are:

  • 1+ year experience in food science related or technical related fields.
  • Experience with document or data collections and management. Cloud-based or software-based document management experience preferred.
  • Experience in a technical field such as science, engineering or consumer packaged goods. Prefer quality assurance and food safety; areas of experience include HACCP, GMP's, data collection, and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to work independently and interface with external and internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to read and understand vendor documentation.
  • Ability to work within strong cross-functional relationships. Heavy interface suppliers, Food safety and Quality
  • Strong verbal and written communications.
  • Attention to detail and ability to coordinate/manage multiple tasks.
  • Proficiency (intermediate to advanced) in computer applications and systems including G-Suite and Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

The anticipated annual base salary range for this role is $58,500 - $65,000. Actual compensation will be commensurate with experience, qualifications, knowledge, and skills.
