Sensata Kavlico is looking for a Mid-level quality professional interested in long-term career growth opportunities. The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of quality assurance, and customer satisfaction initiatives.
General Responsibilities
  • Manages the sharing and implementation of best practices across all business units
  • Responsible for the activities of the Quality Management System
  • Responsible for time management and operational support
  • Manages and produces Quality Assurance measures and metrics which report any trends or process improvement opportunities for each project
  • Manages the training and other required activities for the department

Experience / Qualifications
  • A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • Ability to lead, coach, and develop team members
  • Holds self and others accountable to achieving goals and standards
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment to handle multiple competing tasks and demands
  • Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation
  • Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results
  • Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
  • Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers
General Responsibilities
  • Act as a change agent to continue Sensata’s vision of continuous improvement and support of APQP (AS9145)
  • Demonstrate technical leadership ability in working with all aspects of the manufacturing footprint including but not limited to (engineers, manufacturing departments, suppliers, customers, sister locations, and various and governmental agencies).
  • Educate and train site team on quality principles, including but not limited to providing guidance and support to the site team (engineers, operations, supply chain, etc.)
  • Plan departmental strategies/tactics, focusing on companywide annual plan and objectives
  • Consult with site managers and department leads on where to focus improvement efforts
  • Maintain Aerospace Quality Management System which focuses on customers, continuous improvement, growth and profitability.
  • Successfully represents Sensata Kavlico when addressing key customer quality issues. Ensures effective, timely communication and complete problem resolution.
  • Develops and implements a quality organization structure that supports strategic initiatives, organic and inorganic growth
  • Ensures that procedures for process control, process improvement, test and inspection exist and followed
  • Maintain key performance indicators for both internal and senior leadership awareness reporting on trends and improvement plans
  • Manages quality assurance personnel on a day-to-day basis
Experience / Qualifications
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Gemba, Lean, Kaizen, MSA, AS9102/1st Article, GD&T, DOE techniques
  • Familiar with NADCAP and ICP standards
Nice to have(s)
  • Knowledgeable of the applicable FAA airworthiness standards, policies, and procedures
  • FAA 14 CFR Part 21 and/or 145 experience a plus
  • FAA A&P Certificate desired but not required
  • Previous verifiable experience as a DAR/DMIR/ODAR/ODA-Unit Member in good-standing is highly preferred and may offset some or all the experience requirements
  • Six Sigma Greenbelt and or CQE
  • Knowledge of mechanical and electrical assemblies and problem diagnosis down to the component piece level desired
This position requires potential access to technology controlled under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), the successful candidate must be a "U.S. person" as defined in the ITAR and EAR. In order to be a U.S. person for ITAR and EAR purposes, you must: (i) be a citizen or national of the United States; or (ii) be a lawful permanent resident (i.e., "green card holder") of the United States; or (iii) have been admitted to the United States as a refugee, or have been granted asylum, provided that you have applied for naturalization within six months of the date you first became eligible, and if not yet accepted, you are actively pursuing naturalization after two years from the date of your application.
Base Salary Range:
$130,700.00 - $179,740.00
