Quality Assurance Technician

Position Summary:

Carestream has an opening at its 1049 W. Ridge Road location for a Manufacturing Quality Technician.

• Support manufacturing QA functions
• Perform product audits and packing audits
• Support first article inspection of labels
• Follow defined standard work documented in job elements or temporary work instructions
• Perform regular review and closure of DHRs
• Identify potential problems/ defects and escalate to engineering
• Document identified problems in electronic device history record (DHR)
• Participate in troubleshooting with engineering, as needed

Position Responsibilities:

• Attend morning market to discuss problems and corrective actions
• Follow standard operating procedures as part of medical device manufacturing quality system
• Execute QA test plans and document results
• Assist with field reported out of box issues
• May be required to inspect incoming parts
• Support Quality Engineers in commercialization activities related to manufacturing quality including but not limited to creating standard work, label verification, and training.
• Support CAPA actions and/or effectiveness checks
• Assist with manufacturing quality data extraction and analysis

Required Skills & Education:

• Manufacturing quality experience (2+ years)

• Work Hours: 40 (6am - 2:30pm) with potential for overtime

• Knowledge of regulatory requirements in a medical device manufacturing environment

• Detail oriented, thorough, good follow through

• Team player, comfortable working with engineers, technicians, supervision and operations

• Good written and verbal communication skills

Desired Skills:

• Self starter with the ability to work with minimal guidance

• Ability to work flexible hours including overtime (OT) as needed

• Comfortable working on and learning new computer applications
