Summary
The purpose of the Quality Control (QC) Lab Technician is to support the daily activities of the QC Laboratory. This includes but not limited to donor source material inspections, review of send out testing, laboratory testing preparations.
**The hours for this position will be Friday-Monday 6:00am to 4:00pm**
Responsibilities
Perform daily source material inspections
Daily review of send out samples for source material testing
Laboratory testing preparation activities (e.g. saline conical tube preparation, reagent/solution preparation)
Assist in sending out raw material for testing
Weekly laboratory cleaning
Logging in of samples received from Operations
Perform raw material sampling per applicable procedures
Perform Environmental Monitoring of the manufacturing facility
Any other duties as assigned for business reasons
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in scientific field including general lab experience, or an Associate’s degree with a minimum of 4 years of experience in a GMP environment
Minimum 1 year of relevant laboratory experience
Can work independently and in a team setting
Strong communication Skills
Attention to detail
Perform functions efficiently to meet deadlines as established
Experience with MS Office applications
Follow procedures as written, strong attention to detail, ability to technically write procedures
Working Conditions
Sit or stand for 8-10 hours per day.
May require extended time on telephone
Significant work pace and pressure due to deadlines and rapid change.
In general, work is a mix of office and manufacturing setting.
