Quality Incoming/Receiving Inspection Clerk

As part of a small, passionate and accomplished team of quality personnel performing inspection activity, you will manage the flow of material coming into the inspection area for various spaceflight systems. You will share in the team’s impact on all aspects of incoming inspection. This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your dedicated commitment and detailed attention towards safe and repeatable spaceflight.

Responsibilities
With supervision from the manager/supervisor of Receiving Inspection you will:
  • Identify, organize, and stage hardware/material for inspection based on FIFO and priority requests.
  • Record and track hardware/material in the work center for hardware tracking purposes.
  • Monitor and manage the team work center queue.
  • Provide accurate status on inspections in work: create spreadsheets, record results and update performance metrics.
  • Interface with the production control team to obtain the priority list of parts that require inspection.
  • Elevate to management any noted process anomalies for corrective action.
  • Manage tool accountability and calibration.
Qualifications:
  • Passion for our mission and vision: Millions of people living and working in space!
  • Minimum of 2 years of factory-related experience in quality receiving inspection area.
  • Competency and comfort in using productivity tools and communicating issues.
  • Must be comfortable working on computer to create spreadsheets, record results, and to update performance metrics.
  • Ability to read and write English, follow verbal instructions and use simple math.
  • Ability to support work Monday – Friday on Day Shift. (Overtime as needed)
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Desired:
  • Basic customer service experience and soft skills.
  • Ability to influence action in peers with positive outcomes.
  • Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems.
  • Inventory system knowledge.
  • Purchase order system management.
  • Basic knowledge of manufacturing process flows.
  • Experience operating heavy lifting equipment such as cranes and forklifts .around flight critical hardware.
  • Familiarity with supplier quality and supplier documentation.
  • Green belt certification or similar

Paid Time Off: Up to four (4) weeks per year based on weekly scheduled hours, and up to 14 company-paid holidays for all regular employees (including part-time), fixed-term, and interns.
