Job Summary:
Inspect products and processes at various stages of production to ensure that procedures are followed, and specification requirements are met.
Shift:
2nd Shift - Monday through Friday 2:00pm to 10:00pm
Supervisory Duties:
Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):
- Inspects and tests products to ensure adherence to established standards of strength, quality, measurements, and endurance.
- Documents the results of all inspections.
- Ensures non-conforming material is handled according to procedure.
- Reports any deviation to quality leadership.
- Informs quality leadership the results of priority inspections.
- Can work independently and as part of a team.
- Successfully prioritize numerous responsibilities.
- Have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Work overtime, as needed.
Competencies:
Required Skill/Abilities:
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings required
- Ability to use measurement devices such as calipers, micrometers, inspection gauges and other measuring tools.
- Working knowledge of the metric system.
- CNC or CMM experience preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (MS Word and MS Excel specifically)
Education and/or Experience:
- High school diploma or GED
- 1 – 2 years of quality inspection experience
- 2 – 3years of manufacturing/machine operation experience or equivalent industry preferred

Repetitive lifting of a 1 lb. product is required throughout the shift. The employee is regularly required to lift or lower bins with an average weight of 40 lbs. but could weigh as much as of 70 lbs. Personal safety protective equipment is required.
Work Environment:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to filtered humidity and temperature-controlled air between 65ºF and 80ºF and sometimes outside weather conditions, which can include sunshine, rain, sleet, and snow, high or low temperature and humidity. Standing and walking back and forth from office to warehouses and other buildings. The employee is regularly required to work in a laboratory environment with inspection equipment and work regularly scheduled shifts within our hours of operation. The employee may be asked to work overtime and weekends when needed for special programs or events.
