Quality Inspector II: Parts, Hybrid 2nd/3rd Shift

The BAE Systems site in Aiken, South Carolina, is seeking a Quality Inspector II: Parts for a blended, hybrid 2nd and 3rd Shift.

In this role, the Quality Inspector will:

• Inspect machined and/or welded parts to blueprint requirements for shipment to customer base;
• Provide auditing support to shop floor operations;
• Support on a blended 2nd Shift (2:30 PM to 11:00 PM) and 3rd Shift (10:30PM-7:00AM).

Required Education, Experience, Skills

• Typically requires a High School Diploma, a GED, or the overall equivalent;
• Must have experience with and/or knowledge of how to work with basic inspection tools including scales, calipers, micrometers, height gages, etc;
• Able to read, comprehend, and work to blueprints;
• Able to support on a blended shift of 2nd (2:30 PM to 11:00 PM) and 3rd (10:30PM-7:00AM).

Preferred Education, Experience, Skills

• Coordinate measurement machine;
• Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T);
• Weld inspection;
• Faro Arm/Laser Tracker.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $22.50 - $25.00 per hour
