Software Development Engineer I, Voice - Seattle
Why We Have This Role
The Voice team of the Qualtrics Foundation Engineering Organization is responsible for building services and tools that handle and transcribe over 1M calls per day for hundreds of customers. Our tools operate entirely within the AWS environment, utilizing technologies such as Kubernetes, DynamoDB, SQS/SNS, RDS, DocumentDB, and more.

Things You’ll Do
- Design and develop components and systems for distributed processing of audio and textual data at a high scale using cutting edge technologies and tools.
- Establish and refine operational practices to ensure high availability and reliability of voice processing systems.
- Develop your skills in the telecom and audio processing domains while gaining an understanding of industry standards.
- Work with colleagues across various locations and disciplines to achieve common goals.
What We’re Looking For On Your Resume
- Some experience through internships, academic projects, or personal projects involving software development.
- Strong algorithms, data structures and coding background, familiarity with object-oriented design principles.
- Experience with software engineering best practices (e.g. unit testing, code reviews, design documents, architecture reviews). disciplined approach to testing and quality assurance.
- Basic understanding of distributed systems and concepts like the CAP theorem.
- Interest in AWS services and cloud computing.
- A commitment to continuous learning and improvement in technology and software development.
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field (or in progress).
- 0-1.5 years of experience
