Strategic Intelligence Analyst

Quandela is a European scale up that provides photonic quantum computers that are modular, scalable, energy-efficient and accessible both on the cloud and on premise. 

Our team of 140 employees specialises in the development of both software and hardware solutions for a variety of quantum applications. We offer a wide range of services, from developing the most efficient and brightest single photons sources, to creating algorithms for quantum computers and providing cloud quantum computing solutions. 

Quandela plays a pivotal role as a strategic partner in the quantum transformation of industrial sectors such as energy, finance, pharmaceuticals, and transportation. Furthermore, we are esteemed collaborators within the academic and research community. 

  • Following a successful €50 million fundraising in 2023, we are now scaling up our commercial ventures alongside our ongoing research endeavors.  
  • Quandela has been chosen to participate in the French Tech 2030 program, which aims to bolster French companies pioneering groundbreaking innovations. 

Reporting to the Chief of Staff, the Strategic Intelligence Analyst will be responsible for gathering, analyzing, and delivering strategic intelligence to inform decision-making across Quandela. This role will contribute to the development of the company's economic intelligence framework while producing actionable insights across market, competitive, regulatory, and geopolitical domains.

 

Key Reponsibilities 

 

Intelligence Gathering & Analysis

  • Conduct thorough market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities, threats, and strategic implications
  • Research and evaluate potential partners, customers, and stakeholders in target markets
  • Create and maintain comprehensive competitor profiles and industry landscape analyses
  • Monitor and analyze regulatory developments affecting quantum technologies, particularly in export control and compliance requirements
  • Track geopolitical trends and developments relevant to Quandela's strategic positioning and market access

Strategic Deliverables

  • Produce high-quality intelligence reports, briefings, and presentations for executive leadership and departmental stakeholders
  • Develop regular competitive intelligence updates with actionable insights
  • Prepare ad-hoc analyses to address specific strategic questions from leadership
  • Contribute to market entry strategies and business development initiatives with relevant intelligence

Process Development

  • Participate in developing systematic approaches and methodologies for intelligence collection and analysis
  • Help establish information management systems to effectively organize, store, and share strategic intelligence
  • Contribute to defining intelligence priorities and focus areas aligned with company strategy
  • Help formalizing the economic intelligence function within the Strategy department

Cross-Functional Collaboration 

  • Partner with Business Development to provide market insights for sales strategies
  • Support R&D with technological and competitive intelligence
  • Collaborate with Marketing on market positioning and messaging based on competitive analysis

Qualifications  

  • Advanced degree in Business, International Relations, Strategic Studies, or related field
  • 4-6 years of experience in strategic analysis or market intelligence
  • Proven track record in producing high-quality market and competitive analyses
  • Experience with intelligence methodologies and frameworks
  • Experience with international markets; knowledge of European and Asian markets is a nice-to-have
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and French
  • Ability to work independently and manage different priorities
