Quantitative Analyst

Responsibilities include maintaining and developing applications and infrastructure for the Analytics Technology Business within the Trading and Banking Division. This opportunity is for you if you want to join a cross-functional team building services, APIs, ETL pipelines and automation solutions to enhance our Yield Book product suite while learning about financial markets. In this role, you will play a key part in the cloud adoption journey of our compute infrastructure by adapting existing applications, developing new services, transforming data, integrating cloud technologies, enhancing scalability and performance to extend a market-leading financial risk calculation system
Potential projects may include, but are not limited to:
  • Developing and maintaining RESTful API services to support both external and internal clients;
  • Developing mini applications to enable API clients
  • Maintaining, designing, and setting up infrastructure to support various applications;
  • Migrating applications to cloud seamlessly so that there is no service disruption;
  • Working on products used by leading financial institutions world-wide;
  • Strategic project involvement which will make a significant impact to the business bottom line.
Education/Skills
  • Degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Mathematics or related fields with high academic standing;
  • 0-3 years work/internship experience;
  • Good programming skills in Python with a desire to work on more Python based applications
  • Programming skills in Java, C++ or C are a plus;
  • Understanding of networking (TCP, RPC) and Linux system calls is a plus;
  • Strong analytical background and quantitative skills;
  • Experience with scripting languages is a plus;
  • Good knowledge of Linux/Windows environments;
  • Experience with AWS cloud technologies a plus;
  • Knowledge of Fixed Income Securities is a plus;
  • Past internship experience in financial services industry is a plus.
Compensation/Benefits Information (New York City applicants only):
LSEG is committed to offering competitive Compensation and benefits. The anticipated base salary for this position is $109,800 - $203,800.
Please be aware base salary ranges may vary by geographic location, city and state. In addition to our offered base salary, this role is eligible for our annual incentive (AIP/"bonus plan"). Target AIP rates will be commensurate with role level and posted career stage. Individual salary will be reflective of job related knowledge, skills and commensurate experience. All roles are typically eligible for inclusion in our LSEG benefit program, more information & details will be provided at time of offer.
