There is an opportunity both to level up our legacy platform as well as introduce entirely new, cutting-edge capabilities.What You’ll DoAs a Principal UX Designer, you will lead the design for the most challenging and important projects at Quickbase. At the same time, you will lead and directly manage designers working across a broad area of Quickbase. You will be integral in leveling up our independent contributors as well as their work. You’ll contribute to the development of our design system to ensure consistency and excellence across the platform. You’ll work closely with design ops and content designers within the team and cross functionally with research, PM and developers. Day-to-day you may work with multiple scrum teams to be the voice of design and collaborate on our deployment of new features. As a principal team member, you will be encouraged to be a mentor and to lead efforts to improve our systems, processes, and active projects.If you enjoy leading the dive into complex design problems and collaborating with a team to drive the creative vision of the company, we’d love to talk with you!Areas of Focus We're Looking For• You have 15 years of experience in product design; preferably experience with Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) or Software-as-a-Service (SaaS)• You have a diverse work examples showcasing designs for complex, large-scale products with an emphasis on simplicity and clarity• You have in-depth knowledge of user-centered product design principles and best practices, as well as cloud software industry standards and trends• You can assess, prioritize, and make trade-offs against business, technical, and user constraints• You are skilled in our favorite design tool, Figma!
