Rad AI is seeking a visionary and experienced Director of Platform Engineering to lead our platform engineering team. As the Director of Platform Engineering, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of our infrastructure and platform, driving innovation, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, scalable solutions that support our products and meet our customers' needs.

Responsibilities:

- Leadership: Provide strategic direction and leadership to the platform engineering team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.

-Platform Development: Lead the development and execution of the platform roadmap, working closely with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to deliver robust and scalable infrastructure solutions.

- Technical Excellence: Ensure the engineering team adheres to best practices, coding standards, and architectural guidelines, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.

- Team Building: Recruit, onboard, and mentor top engineering talent, building a high-performing team capable of delivering world-class platform solutions.

- Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, design, and customer success, to ensure alignment on platform priorities and delivery schedules.

- Stakeholder Management: Act as a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, providing updates on project status, addressing concerns, and managing expectations.

- Innovation: Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies, identifying opportunities for innovation and differentiation in our platform offerings.

- Quality Assurance: Ensure the delivery of high-quality, scalable, and reliable platform solutions, with a focus on customer satisfaction and business impact.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

- 10+ years of experience in software engineering.

- 5+ years in leadership roles, including 3+ years managing managers.

- Proven track record of leading high-performing engineering teams and delivering complex software products.

- Strong technical expertise in software development, architecture, and design, with proficiency in modern programming languages and frameworks.

- Experience with platform engineering and infrastructure technologies, such as container orchestration (Kubernetes), cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure), and CI/CD pipelines.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

- Demonstrated ability to drive innovation, foster a culture of collaboration, and deliver results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
