Together, we lead and leave a positive impact on societies, companies, and people around the world.You will join our Water & Wastewater Engineering DepartmentAs our new Assistant Project Manager and Design Engineer, you will perform assignments requiring the application of standard design engineering principles and practices for an entire project or selected segments of projects. Under supervision, the incumbent must be capable of exercising independent judgment in evaluating, selecting, and applying design engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria to make design adaptations and modifications.Project work will be focused on industries including, Food & Beverage, Leachate Management, Anaerobic Digesters, Life Sciences & Pharmaceutical, Metals industries and supporting PRP groups (i.e. groundwater treatment).Your key tasks and responsibilities will be:• Functions as process design engineer for physical/chemical and biological wastewater treatment systems for various industries.• Interfaces with engineering disciplines and others technical areas to deliver a seamless multidiscipline design package.• Assist in planning and designing projects, following design, construction, and government standards, as well as the policies and standards.• Assist in tracking project schedule, budget, and deliverables over the lifespan of the project.• Prepares and present technical reports including workplans, basis of design documents and technical design narratives supporting design efforts.• Coordinates with internal and external client contacts.• Review of engineering submittals from contractors and equipment suppliers.• Provide engineering support during construction to resolve contractor RFI’s and field issues.• Provide technical support for proposal development and costing efforts.Your starting point for constant growth• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering and 3+ years of qualifying engineering experience working in the engineering/design field.• Demonstrated experience in industrial wastewater treatment plant, anaerobic digesters, or similar designs, including development of contract drawings and technical specifications.• Mastered engineering fundamentals and in utilizing various design software packages such as AutoCAD and PIPE-FLO.• Incumbent shall have strong focus on acquiring PE license when qualified to do so.• Good interpersonal and communication skills.• Work effectively in teams.• Willingness to continue to improve.• Willingness to travel for site investigation and construction inspections. At the time of this posting, this role is likely to be compensated at an annual base salary between $65,000 and $80,000.
