The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and at least 3 years of design experience with 2D and 3D CAD software in a manufacturing environment. Proficiency with ASME Y14 or above is required. This position requires travel to KY for one week per month for the first 3 months for training. Excellent benefits are available on day 1! All candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. location: EAST SAINT LOUIS, Illinois job type: Permanent salary: $75,000 - 100,000 per year work hours: 8am to 4pm education: Bachelors responsibilities: - Supports manufacturing with new and existing components and designs including solving problems with materials and processes - Leads design reviews for assigned projects and participates in reviews; works with vendors and suppliers to specify new components and select appropriate components for designs. - Collaborates with engineers of other disciplines to integrate components into design criteria - Designs, analyzes, tests, and inspects products and subsystems for performance and reliability - Supports operations to implement and maintain products through the life cycle; works closely with Operations, Maintenance, and Quality to identify and address any issues affecting productivity and quality.
