Solar power is the largest source of new energy in the world. Raptor Maps is a fast-growing, venture-backed, MIT-born climate tech startup that is building software to enable the solar energy industry to scale. Parties across the entire solar lifecycle use Raptor Maps’ data model to manage ever growing utility-scale solar portfolios. We are an industry leader with hundreds of customers, including owners, builders, operators, and aerial service providers, across over 40 countries with 200+ million solar panels under management. Our software platform is essential in the fight against climate change.

We're looking for aspiring Product Managers to intern with our team this summer. You’re a user-focused strategist and technologist, with a knack for collaborative problem solving. You’re excited to work handson with industry-leading designers, engineers and other cross-functional stakeholders. You love to learn and are passionate about high quality product experiences in complex business environments. In this role, you would dive right into our fast-paced, multi-faceted product team and learn heaps about Solar and the lifecycle of SaaS products.

Internships are an integral part of our culture at Raptor Maps. We host cohorts of diverse interns every summer that oftentimes come back as full time team members the following year. We hire interns for both commercial and technical product management roles. Exact responsibilities vary based on role type and team.

Internship Program Details:

Anticipated Start Date: May 20

Anticipated End Date: August 16

Location: Remote, Boston Preferred

Recruiting Process: Interviews will begin in February

Responsibilities

• Learn and contribute to our product vision and strategy.
• Scope out a new opportunity, evaluating commercial, strategic, customer and vision factors.
• Engage with our tracking metrics to uncover insights and opportunities. 
• Sketch out product requirements and low-fi mock ups of a discrete feature or feature enhancement.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application issues.

• Demonstrated ability to make decisions informed by qualitative and quantitative data
• Excellent written, oral and leadership skills
• Strong grasp of software as a service product design and business principles
• Interest in climate tech
• Must be primarily located in the contiguous US
• Must be authorized to work in the US
