BIW Dimensional Control Engineer

Re:Car dba Slate is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced BIW Dimensional Control Engineer to ensure the precision and accuracy of manufacturing processes in the electric vehicle space.

Skills

Proficient in metrology tools
Strong analytical skills
Experience in statistical analysis
Excellent communication skills
Detail-oriented in dimensional control

Responsibilities

Prioritize safety to protect team members and customers
Develop and implement dimensional control plans
Conduct detailed measurements and inspections
Collaborate with cross-functional teams
Analyze measurement data and implement corrective actions
Work with product engineering teams for process optimization
Utilize metrology tools for accurate inspections
Support root cause analysis for dimensional control issues
Collaborate with suppliers to ensure quality

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Metrology, Mechanical Engineering or related field
Master’s Degree is a plus
