About Re:Car dba SLATERe:Car dba SLATE, is a new US company that is exploring development in the electric vehicle space.Who we are looking for:Re:Car dba SLATE is looking for an energetic, organized, experienced Video Editor / Content Manager to join our growing team.This role is eligible to work a Hybrid schedule from our office in Troy, MI.What you get to do:As the Video Editor & Content Manager, you will be responsible for editing video for our company, optimizing content for websites, digital ads and social media channels. You will work closely with our marketing team to create compelling content that will engage our customers and add value to the overall experience. This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced and self-motivated individual to join our team and become a driving force in the success of our company.In this role, you will be a video editor for our growing visual media team. You will be responsible for editing, organizing content, creating motion graphics, and producing videos for internal and external purposes. As a lead video editor, you will be applying artistic editing techniques and creating finished, broadcast-worthy projects that accurately reflects the vision of the assignment. Other requirements include a vivid imagination, artistic eye, and a creative mindset.Key Responsibilities:• Editing all videos, audio and motion graphics• Inserting dialog, sound effects, music, graphics, and special effects.• Collaborate with internal teams on content for National/Local TV, online ads, live events, and social media.• Procuring assets from archives or third parties for use in video projects and presentations.• Using, tracking and maintaining a digital asset management tool.• Supporting multimedia needs for live event production.What you bring to the team:• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, film studies, Marketing, cinematography, Media Arts or related discipline or equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a formal degree.• 5+ years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.• Experience editing for broadcast• Strong knowledge with editing software, including DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, Final Cut Pro X.• Proficient audio editing, mixing and sound design• Experience with Microsoft office products.• Discover and implement new techniques and methods to maximize creativity and efficiency.• Monitor all technical aspects of content, including color correction of footage, recording and editing, collaborating the stakeholder through the entire production process.• Strong project management skills with the ability to organize, assess risks, manage resources, and achieve milestones and deliverables, and the ability to work well under deadlines.• A portfolio that showcases a solid understanding of creative storytelling techniques and effective communication skills.• Experience with editing footage from ARRI, RED, Sony and Canon camera systems preferred• Must be willing to travel. This position includes limited travel to field locations and/or conferences and events. Works primarily in an office environment. Will work hybrid, which may include indoor and outdoor venues, during many events. Ability to work non-traditional hours, including weekends and evenings when needed.
