Position summary:
This position provides support to the Pathway Wealth Advisors team with a variety of functions and tasks. This role is critical to our member experience and requires a friendly, upbeat demeanor. This position interfaces with clients extensively to support the daily operations of the practice, including, but not limited to: answering incoming calls, meeting/greeting members, utilizing Thrivent Financial computer systems and programs in support of client relations, and other tasks as assigned. The Receptionist reports to and is employed by Pathway Wealth Advisors.

This position is a minimum of 32 hours per week in our office in Johnston, Iowa with the following schedule, with a full-time opportunity available:
Monday – 9 AM-4 PM
Wednesday – 9 AM-4 PM
Thursday- 9 AM-4 PM
Friday – 9 AM-4 PM

Compensation will be $20/hr. This position will be in the Johnston office.

Job Description

Position Roles/Responsibilities/Accountabilities

  • Handles incoming telephone calls and responds to requests for information
  • Drive client/member facing activity in the practice by scheduling meetings with client/members on behalf of the practice’s Financial Representatives
  • Maintain client correspondence including compliance and marketing materials
  • Performs routine administrative duties such as maintaining office supplies, corresponding with members, scanning paperwork, and maintaining professional appearance of office areas
  • Prepares or coordinates the preparation of routine correspondence, reports, and special projects
  • Prepare and execute service forms to complete client service transactions
  • Supports projects, administration of various programs, and processing functions as needed
  • Update the client relationship management system with client/member contact preference information and meeting notes
  • Assist Financial representatives in the preparation and follow up for the client/member meetings
  • Provides back-up support on tasks that do not require any type of licensing or registration for other staff members, as needed
  • Completes other miscellaneous tasks as assigned

Position Qualifications

  • Previous administrative/secretarial experience desired
  • Strong technical computer aptitude and knowledge of business tools (e.g., Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) or ability to learn
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and maintain a high quality of work while experiencing frequent interruptions
  • Ability to maintain integrity of sensitive/confidential information
  • Basic understanding of Pathway Wealth Advisors, our products, and services, and Thrivent Financial

As part of Pathway Wealth Advisors recruiting/hiring/contracting process, a verification of a candidate's background will be made to complete the hiring/contracting process. In addition, fingerprints will be taken for submission to the Federal Bureau of Investigation for review against nationwide fingerprint records.
