Receptionist

Position Summary:

Professional representative for the Corporate Office responsible for interacting with every level of the organization and across disciplines by appropriately greeting, announcing, and directing visitors to the relevant personnel. This position requires an individual with a professional demeanor and exceptional customer service skills. Assists with a variety of standard administrative duties within the organization and provides operations support as needed.

Responsibilities of Position:

  • Responsible for visitor services (check in, badge assignment, host alert, Wifi).
  • Maintain an accurate telephone directory.
  • Maintain up to date work instructions for all administrative procedures.
  • Operate a multi-line telephone system.
  • Schedule domestic and international travel for management as needed.
  • Organize calendars and schedule appointments.
  • Create expense reports.
  • Reconcile purchase log.
  • Create purchase orders and ensure payment of invoices.
  • Assists with mail sorting/distribution and shipping/receiving operations.
  • Assists with planning and scheduling work relating to general maintenance/installation of new equipment and building repairs.
  • Assists with daily interior/exterior inspections of the Corporate Office.
  • Ensures good housekeeping, cleanliness and the availability of adequate cleaning supplies.
  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Performs related duties and special projects as assigned.
  • Keeps supervision informed of developments as needed.
  • Performs such individual assignments as supervisors and superiors may direct; establishes and maintains effective work relationships within the department, the Company and the community; and maintains the professional competence, knowledge and skills necessary for the satisfactory performance of all assigned responsibilities.

Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1-year corporate experience preferred.
  • Maturity and demonstrated aptitude for administrative judgment and initiative.

Licensing or Special Certification Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work at a personal computer for extended periods.
  • Occasionally lifts and carries up to 40 pounds and frequently carries up to 20 pounds.
  • Regular and predictable attendance.

Working Conditions:

  • Maneuvers in, under, and around building equipment on a regular and continuous basis.
  • Some of work time is spent sitting, standing, walking, lifting and bending.
  • Works within an automotive component manufacturing office setting and may be exposed to heat, cold and fumes/chemicals.

Education :

  • Associates degree or pursuing a business-related degree.
