Marcum LLP is seeking a Receptionist to join our growing and well established Operations team in the New York, NY office. The receptionist is responsible for greeting and directing visitors who are calling and entering establishment. Provide assistance with general office administration responsibilities as requested. This is a temp-to-perm position.
Responsibilities:
  • Answer and route all phone calls
  • Receives the public and answers questions, in person and by telephone; responds to inquiries from employees, clients, etc. and refers, when necessary, to the appropriate person, official or department.
  • Maintain daily sign in sheet for all employees. Update phone list on a weekly basis.
  • File and maintain records.
  • Process and prepare memos, correspondence, or other documents.
  • Process incoming checks for daily deposit and record receipts for services.
  • Send, receive and log all messenger, FedEx, UPS and DHL services.
  • Maintain calendar for conference room and visitor office scheduling.
  • Coordinate catering for internal meetings and events as necessary.
  • Process invoices for various office services.
  • Coordinate maintenance requests with the building.
  • Assist HR with ad hoc requests.
  • Assist Marketing with Internal Meetings/Events as needed.
  • Assist with any additional ad hoc requests.
Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated knowledge of basic business, technology, switchboards and general office administration.
  • Prior receptionist experience.
  • Strong communication skills and follow-through are required for this position.
  • Proactively seeks ways to assist internal and external clients
  • Professional demeanor
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work 8:30am-5:30pm, Monday through Friday in the NYC office.
