Recruiter, Manager

What You'll Do

In this role, you'll work with the business, corporate and/or engineering teams to attract and hire world class professionals, clinicians and technologists. At Flatiron, Recruiting is a partner that is vital to the success of our mission, and therefore we take a company-wide team approach to meet our robust hiring and growth targets. Reporting into the Head of Global Recruiting, you will partner with our hiring managers to understand and anticipate their needs and priorities in order to help advance our business objectives and grow our workforce. You will work to identify and engage passive candidates and manage the full-cycle recruiting process for technical and/or non-technical hires. In addition, you'll also:

  • People manage, provide mentorship, and hold your team accountable for short term and long term hiring goals 
  • Collaborate with a diverse range of hiring managers and senior stakeholders to tailor the recruitment process for unique and highly ambiguous roles - creating job descriptions, defining role competencies, and determining interview processes
  • Manage full-cycle recruiting process, focusing on candidate advocacy and partnership
  • Independently drive recruiting process improvements and documentation for hiring managers and teams, which includes communicating effectively with the interview team to ensure preparedness during the interview process, as well as sharing and exchanging information with all levels of management
  • Pro-actively strategize, develop and successfully execute on building talent pipelines through direct sourcing strategies that are measurable, focused on continuous improvement and results oriented
  • Negotiate complex offers to close senior and executive candidates by leveraging your experience with competing for top talent

Who you are

You're a resourceful recruiter with experience helping organizations hire talent by sourcing, pitching and closing candidates. You're excited by the prospect of rolling up your sleeves to tackle meaningful problems each and every day. You’re a kind, passionate and collaborative problem-solver who is able to proactively adjust to shifting priorities, and values the chance to make an important impact. You bring a wealth of knowledge to the team to help inform recruiting best practices, senior candidate / stakeholder management, as well as enjoy providing mentorship to your team.

  • You have at minimum 7+ years of recruiting experience and are open to different areas of focus (research, corporate, technical, etc)
  • You have at least 2+ years of experience working in house
  • You have demonstrated experience working with senior stakeholders / hiring managers (VP, C-suite, etc)
  • You have experience managing a full life cycle recruitment process, specifically with closing senior and/or executive level candidates and negotiating complex compensation packages
  • You have experience effectively managing a high volume of candidates, across a variety of unique roles at any given time
  • You have the ability to effectively prioritize and think at the strategic level
  • You are passionate about healthcare and the fight against cancer
