About this Role
At Arkestro, our people are our most important resource. We’re looking for a highly skilled recruiter to become one of them, and to help us build an amazing team. This hire will work alongside our Director of People Operations and department heads to oversee all aspects of recruiting. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in recruitment for a variety of positions, with knowledge of screening, interviewing, and hiring practices focused on diversity and inclusion. Responsibilities
Design and implement overall recruiting strategy, structuring hiring plans that promote diverse & inclusive hiring practices within the organization and provide equal opportunities to all candidates.
Manage end-to-end recruitment of open roles, understanding business needs to draft job descriptions, source and screen candidates, conduct candidate interviews, manage the recruitment process with various stakeholders, and oversee offers.
Be the administrator for our candidate tracking system (Lever), mediating between candidates and hiring managers and ensuring all departments are utilizing Lever to track pipelines.
Prepare recruitment materials and promote jobs across appropriate platforms such as job boards, search engines, college career fairs, etc.
Review candidates resumes and job applications, conduct initial phone screenings with qualified candidates, and assess applicants’ relevant knowledge, skills, soft skills, experience and aptitudes.
Produce reports on hiring plans and strategies to measure time to fill, cost per hire, candidate interviews, job placements, and diversity metrics.
Help establish and promote Arkestro’s reputation as “best place to work”.
Necessary Qualifications
3-5 years of experience as a recruiting specialist with a track record of employee placement
Strong negotiation skills when discussing terms and conditions of employment
A strong networker, with a natural ability to build and maintain professional relationships
Excellent analytical skills to examine resumes and find the best-suited candidates
Clear verbal skills to communicate well with candidates and managers
Problem-solving mentality, with an ability to think quickly and shift gears in a constantly changing environment
Technical skills that allow you to move efficiently through web-based technologies and social media
Detail-oriented, paying special attention to each job posting’s specific needs
Respect for compliance and confidentiality
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in HR, business, psychology, or another related field
Leadership abilities to delegate tasks and train new employees.
In-depth knowledge of hiring strategies, labor laws, and employment equity
The ability to evaluate recruiting software packages and to recommend those which are best suited to the company
