About the Job:

The Red Hat Sales team is looking for a Senior Manager, Sales for the Eastern U.S. region, to join us in the NY/NJ area. You will be responsible for promoting sales, ensuring customer satisfaction, and managing partner engagement within the Enterprise customer segment. This is a completely sales-driven, quota-oriented role where you will be expected to guide large, complex customer engagements. We'll need you to bring a solid network of relationships and a detailed understanding of the sectors. As part of the Red Hat Sales Leadership team, you will also strive for organizational excellence, be involved in coaching and mentoring talent, as well as engaging stakeholders in making Red Hat a fun and better place to work. As a Senior Manager, you’ll need to have solid communication skills, as you will be providing demonstrations to show how our technologies can be integrated into partners' systems to deliver a higher return on investment, while communicating how open source delivers value to their customers.  

What you will do:

  • Manage a team of experienced sales and customer-facing professionals. Lead them in managing comprehensive engagements with stakeholders in the assigned segment; these stakeholders could be customers, partners, consultants, etc. 

  • Manage delivery to plan, pipeline creation, guiding linearity, guiding optimal wallet-share with customers; partnering strategy for the assigned segment will be intrinsic to this role  

  • Develop and implement joint business plans that identify key growth areas in the target segment to help increase revenue, capitalize on our technologies, and increase their commitment to our business relationship 

  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders within Red Hat and with key stakeholders in the assigned segment 

  • Coach, mentor, and lead team members; be actively involved in adding new talent to the organization

What you will bring:

  • 7+ years of customer related sales experience in enterprise technology, e.g., infrastructure software, including operating systems, security, cloud-enablement, information management, and middleware IT services, including system integration, and application development 

  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with C-level customers and partners to drive business success

  • Understanding of the complete sales cycle management, from prospecting to closing 

  • Ability to build long-term relationships with customers and partners by establishing trust and credibility with an emphasis on coaching teams to achieve this high level of competence 

  • Proven success in implementing short and long-term focused strategies to grow revenue within a region 

  • Record of ownership over personal and team revenue targets, forecasting sales accurately, and identifying critical sales pipeline indicators 

  • Demonstrated experience of business management in direct and matrixed reporting lines - Experience working in a global technology company; record of contributing to the broader region's business success 

  • Proven team management experience, including overseeing direct reports, being accountable for their performance, and fostering their professional growth to ensure alignment with organizational goals.

  •  Bachelor's degree, preferably with a relevant advanced degree 

  • Proven experience ensuring that P&L targets are met or exceeded

The salary range for this position is $291,510.00 - $481,100.00 (inclusive of base pay + target incentive compensation). Actual offer will be based on your qualifications.

Pay Transparency

Red Hat determines compensation based on several factors including but not limited to job location, experience, applicable skills and training, external market value, and internal pay equity. Annual salary is one component of Red Hat’s compensation package. This position may also be eligible for bonus, commission, and/or equity. For positions with Remote-US locations, the actual salary range for the position may differ based on location but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
