Staff Data Scientist, Threat Detection
Reddit is looking for a Staff Data Scientist to join our Threat Detection team. The team focuses on identifying trends in platform activity signaling potential threats and implementing automation to enforce policies. Ideal candidates have experience in data science, intelligence analysis, programming, and excellent communication skills.
Skills
- Proficiency in SQL and Python or R programming
- Experience in intelligence analysis and threat hunting
- Strong statistical and network analysis skills
- Ability to communicate complex topics to technical and non-technical audiences
Responsibilities
- Leverage data to inform strategic directions of safety signal development
- Operationalize and evolve Threat Detections metrics
- Provide guidance on ingesting signals to prevent exposure of harmful content
- Disseminate intelligence to safety stakeholders and executive decision makers
