Remote Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (Adolescents and Adults)

Skills

Outpatient experience with adolescents and adults enrolled in Medicaid, Medicare, or dual-eligible
Experience with underserved populations facing socioeconomic barriers to healthcare
Knowledge of behavioral medicine and evidence-based treatments
Ability to make quick and accurate clinical assessments
Demonstrated knowledge of psychopharmacology
Strong teamwork and communication skills

Responsibilities

Assess and diagnose behavioral health conditions for adolescents and adults
Formulate treatment plans in consultation with the collaborative health team
Prescribe psychoactive medications and manage medication for members
Serve as a subject matter expert in behavioral health conditions
Collaborate with primary care providers and other professionals for treatment plans
Provide medical education to members and support post-discharge planning
Contribute to the design and implementation of clinical pathways and protocols

Education

Master's degree from an accredited Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Program
Fully licensed as an Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner in the State of Nevada with prescriptive authority
Certified as Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center or equivalent
Current and in good standing DEA Certificate
