All regular faculty and staff serving at Regent and working a minimum of 30 hours per week will receive an attractive benefits package.The Admin Assistant/Business Manager position will manage daily activities in the deans’ suite and provide operational support to the Regent University Library Dean, Library Administration, and Library faculty. This position will oversee and monitor the Library budget as well as manage financial transactions as required by the Business Office. This role will also assist with day-to-day operations, personnel matters, data management, event planning, special projects, and other duties as assigned.Essential Duties• Proactively anticipate and perform administrative duties for Library management, faculty, and supervisors.• Collaborate with the Dean and Library faculty on outreach, public relations, the coordination of campus/Library events (Faculty Scholarship Showcase, Faculty Common Read library presentations, Research Conversations, book launches, displays, Book Club, etc.), logistics, and documentation of plans.• Draft documents (letters, emails, statements, etc.) independently, that require the interpretation and application of University and Library polices, rules, and regulations while monitoring the follow-up of all correspondence.• Manage all administrative documents and paperwork (transcriptions, minutes, correspondence, contracts, personnel files, policies, handbooks, etc.).• Manage human resources paperwork for Library employees, including Library faculty, staff, and student workers.• Serve as primary liaison with the University Business Office to process monies received, reconcile University Library MasterCards, update the budget spreadsheet, and to process the end of year reconciliation.Qualifications• Bachelor's degree in related field• Business degree preferred• Previous organizational/administrative experience with a familiarity with business procedures• Must have computer proficiency (especially Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, & Publisher)Candidates Must Have• Writing/editing capabilities, strong attention to detail, and commitment to accuracy• Ability to communicate effectively and collegially• Commitment to Regent’s core values of Excellence, Innovation, and IntegrityRegent University does not discriminate in employment in its programs or activities on the basis of race, color, national or ethnic origin, sex, disability, age or veteran status.
