Position Purpose
The Registrar oversees, advises on, and maintains all activities of the Thayer School of Engineering’s academic calendar and students’ academic records, ensuring the highest quality and responsive service to students and faculty. They are responsible for student enrollments, degrees awarded, and academic eligibility for various internal and external audiences. They provide critical leadership and guidance to faculty and students in the areas of academic policy, enrollment, and course information. The Registrar also regularly communicates and collaborates with colleagues across Dartmouth and optimizes available technologies to automate and ensure efficient processes and accurate information.

Bachelors plus 6 or more years' experience or combination of education and experience
Required Qualifications - Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
- A bachelor’s degree is required.
- At least five years of relevant experience is required.
- Proficiency in utilizing and optimizing information systems is required.
- Experience in working with a large-scale integrated student administrative system, preferably Ellucian Banner.

- Highly developed organizational and communication skills.
- Excellent judgment and critical thinking skills and the ability to manage complex and/or confidential issues involving diverse constituents and stakeholders.
- Ability to inspire trust and work collegially with staff, faculty members, school and campus officers, administrators, and students.
- Demonstrated adaptability to meet changing demands, including the ability to be flexible and available to leadership, faculty and staff on an as-needed basis.
- Proven accuracy and attention to detail in managing multiple initiatives and priorities, along with experience in simultaneously implementing projects and events across multiple timeframes.
- Expert computer skills with proficiency in Google Docs/Sheets, Microsoft Excel and data manipulation.
- Strong project management and planning skills, including the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a complex environment.
- Understanding of and familiarity with current trends and regulations in the registrar field and experience in the effective use of academic records management technologies.
- Excellent writing ability and strong interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree is preferred.
