ReInvest (Returnship Program) - Technology

At AB, taking time to care for your family is considered valuable life experience. We are looking for qualified, motivated individuals who have taken a break from work to invest in their families and loved ones and are now looking to ReInvest in their career. Our ReInvest Program is an 11-week paid program, beginning September 5 and ending November 17.

ReInvest Program Overview

Spend 11 weeks in a paid returnship program with a cohort of your peers
Be assigned meaningful project work in an area of interest and your expertise
Participate in development workshops and training sessions designed to support your career re-entry
Have regular check-ins with a mentor who can advise and guide you
Be considered for a full-time opportunity once the program is over

ReInvest Program Qualifications

You have been on a career break for two or more years and are interested in getting back to full-time work
You have 3-5 years’ previous professional work experience, at a minimum
You are within commuting distance to our Nashville office
You are a person of integrity, with strong interpersonal and communication skills

The role of the Global Technology & Operations SBU is to support the firm’s infrastructure, global technology and operations functions, as well as partner with the business for strategic change i.e./digital strategy. A key aspect of our strategy is to provide a secure, stable, and integrated environment for all users allowing the business to concentrate on investing for our clients, introducing new products that deliver the greatest value, and expanding the business in new and innovative ways.

AB’s IT environment is vital for the firm’s success as the leading global investment management firm by providing computing, communications, infrastructure, services, support, and innovations that sustain high-quality research and diverse investment services to institutional investors, individuals and private clients.

The Global Operations departments provide services in four main areas: Investment Management Services, Fund Services, Brokerage Operations, and Private Client Administration.

What You’ll Do

The Technology team provides computing, communications, infrastructure, services, support and innovations that sustain high-quality research and diverse investment services for institutional investors, individuals and private clients. The team also supports AB’s employees.

Some examples of these teams and projects include various functional areas within Software Development, such as:

Developing an analytics and pricing engine for mortgage-backed securities
Implementing new quantitative models and enhancement of the portfolio management process
Developing a system to identify trading opportunities based on new strategies
Building a bond recommendation engine
Automating trade processes to reduce risk and maximize efficiency
