Senior Stage Propulsion Engineer

Skills

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or equivalent engineering discipline
5+ years mechanical design experience
Experience with commercial CAD packages like NX, CREO, Solidworks
Experience with GD&T
Project ownership and manufacturing experience
Experience with fluid system components and system testing
Experience with FEA tools for structural analysis

Responsibilities

Lead mechanical and structural implementation of stage fluid systems for reliable operation of Terran R launch vehicle
Conduct fluids routing and design trade studies
Design fluid system hardware mounting structures
Perform mechanical verification analysis using hand calcs and FEA
Incorporate 3D printing methods in fluid system mechanical design
Implement Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA)

Education

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or an equivalent engineering discipline
