Business Operations Manager

We are a small but strong team of 70+ people (and growing) hyper-focussed on delivering a world-class platform and unparalleled service with our industry-leading partnerships. To help accelerate our growth and pace of delivery, we are looking for talented Product Designers to help spearhead the overall look and feel of our features and services.


As a Business Operations Manager at Remofirst, you’ll be responsible for ensuring that all departments within an organization work smoothly and in alignment, thereby producing the desired results for the company. We are in the process of building out a world-class HR solution and we’re bringing together a team of leaders with a passion for developing and growing.


What you'll be doing:
  • Constantly monitor different processes within the organization and develop ways to make them more effective.
  • Oversee financial management, planning, operational systems and controls, and the organization of fiscal documentation.
  • Communicate client concerns to the operations team and design solutions to resolve complaints and maximize customer satisfaction.
  • Work with tax calculators, country guides, country compliance.
  • Offer operational data and insights for establishing and evaluating improvement strategies and tactics.
  • Ensure smooth workflows within each department and establish easy and lucid communication channels between them.
  • Establish a safe, healthy, and inclusive work environment.
  • Principal point of contact for external stakeholders.
  • Help with employee appraisals by communicating job expectations and monitoring and reviewing job contributions.
  • Analyze data and assist in predicting the company’s requirements, preparing a yearly budget, and planning future spending.


What you’ll need:
  • 2-3 years of experience in Business Operations Manager related roles in the software industry.
  • A finance background and a fast-paced startup environment is definitely a plus.


How you’ll work:
  • Upper-Intermediate English is a must. 
  • Excellent communication skills, as we’re working with many people from all over the world, it’s important for us to communicate, quickly adapt and relay information in different ways.
  • Collaborative: we love to work together with all sorts of different people in all sorts of different places. Everyone’s opinion matters to get the job done. 
  • Strategic planning and critical thinking will help you to be able to anticipate issues that can affect successful outcomes and approach challenges with creative solutions that help teams meet objectives. 
  • Decision-making. You’lldiscern pertinent information and analyze how different factors can affect the success of our business's operations. 
  • Time Management: You will be participating in meetings, supporting our customers and internal teams; then throw time zones in the mix, that’s quite the day. You will need to be good at structuring your work day and tasks to make sure you accomplish all those things whilst maintaining a work-life balance.
  • With Research skills you’ll be able to gather, review and analyze information about relative stakeholders for our business and find the best solutions.
  • Independent and autonomous: as we work, we’re naturally independent. As much as we’re connected you will also need to use your own initiative to solve problems and get answers; this also means reaching out to us to get help or confirm a solution.
  • Empathetic: you need excellent people skills to connect and motivate yourself and others around you. You will use your empathic abilities to handle all sorts of conversations with multiple audiences.
  • Motivated: we want our team to be passionate about our mission. Freedom of work applies not only to our customers but to ourselves. Additionally, you will need motivation and initiative to identify and/or support tasks that need to be improved without being asked.
