Job Overview:

Spirent is seeking an experienced executive to lead Product Management of platform software & applications for our fast-growing Cloud & IP Business Unit. Reporting to Vice President Marketing, this individual will have responsibility for leading our Software/product management team, providing thought leadership, and helping define the software/product strategy for our flagship Ethernet, WiFi, Automotive & Cloud solutions.

As a key member of our leadership team, you'll be working closely with engineering to define & build test solutions for validating next-generation 5G, IoT, Connected Vehicle, and Cloud Infrastructures. You'll assist our marketing team in identifying new market opportunities, defining market/product requirements, and executing our go-to-market strategy.

Job Responsibilities:

• Build a world-class product management team to drive product strategy, planning, and execution for our new and existing markets.
• Leverage your product management and leadership skills to develop a strong product management function and support a culture of mentorship and collaboration. Recruit, retain, and develop exceptional product talent.
• Partner with our product and corporate marketing teams to ensure the proper positioning, integration, and evangelization of our solutions & technologies within Spirent's broader solution portfolio.
• Guide the Product team in translating market knowledge, customer requirements, and product strategy into product requirements/solutions. This begins with customer use cases and ends with a detailed marketing requirements document.
• Use your expertise in monetizing technology innovation to collaborate with product marketing, corporate marketing, and demand generation to build and execute business plans for maximum revenue growth.
• Manage entire product lifecycle from strategic planning to tactical milestones for existing and new products.
• Develop and maintain a deep understanding of Spirent's products, services, capabilities, and target market opportunities.
• Nurture strategic relationships with key customers to enable future roadmap conversations on current and long-range planning.
• Help Product Managers and Marketing communications to create collateral that accurately reflects the features & benefits of the product lines.
• Create/Manage business cases for new product developments to achieve sponsorship from the Executive team.
• Drive a relentless pursuit for excellence and technology expertise that inspires confidence in Spirent and its products.

Job Requirements:

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Engineering from an accredited institution with relevant industry experience for this leadership position.
• MBA or similar degree is desirable.
• Willingness to travel - can exceed 25%.

Experience:

• At least 12 years of experience in product management.
• Experience managing and leading a team of product managers & high-performing virtual teams.
• Experience working in test equipment or the telecommunications industry is a plus.
• Track record demonstrating creativity, mapped into strategic and tactical deadlines.

Skills:

• Excellent listening, oral, and written communication/presentation skills with a strong ability to influence people at all levels and in various functions.
• Strong awareness of technology trends and their potential influence on Spirent's business.
• Specific enterprise systems and cloud management domain experience in large and/or small start-up companies required.
• In-depth understanding of network architectures, protocols, and applications.
• Strong teaming skills and experience to bring together diverse views.
• Nurture an inclusive, collaborative, and fun way of sharing experience and learnings.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $211,928.00 - $298,244.00 per year
