Engineering Manager, Rescale, Inc., Draper, UT. Multiple Positions.
Responsibilities: Lead an engineering team to design, implement, and support Rescale virtualization platform; provide technical leadership on technologies;and work with partners on platform-related technical issues; Interview, hire and onboard Engineers at the appropriate levels and develop talent using career development plans;Oversee project logistics and resource allocation, including routinely running stand up and project meetings;Develop and document an execution roadmap taking into account; Engineering, Product and Design resource constraints, customer needs from Support and Solutions and business priorities and objectives; Develop a strong understanding of Rescale’s systems architecture,allowing the efficient and reliable operating of production systems and technical debt; Cultivate a high-performing team through career plan development, individual mentoring and coaching and performance management; and Develop, document and follow processes appropriate to the team and environment and effectively communicate and institutionalize them. Fully remote position. Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, or a related field; 5 years of experience working in a scaled Engineering, Product and Design organization in a fast-moving startup environment; 1 year of experience at senior Engineer level; 1 year of experience as a tech lead in a high-performing software engineering team; and Led the delivery of, at least, one multi-quarter architectural change with quantifiable impact.
