Research Assistant
Primary Purpose
A Research Assistant position is available in Dr. Jianming Xie’s laboratory at the Department of Biotechnology and Pharmaceutical Sciences, College of Pharmacy, Western University of Health Sciences (Western U) in Pomona, CA. Our research is focused on engineering T cells and NK cells with novel chimeric antigen receptors (CAR) to target cancer and HIV. We use a multi-disciplinary approach, including molecular cloning, protein chemistry, cellular engineering, immunology, and mouse models.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
A Research Assistant position is available in Dr. Jianming Xie’s laboratory at the Department of Biotechnology and Pharmaceutical Sciences, College of Pharmacy, Western University of Health Sciences (Western U) in Pomona, CA. - Working knowledge of laboratory equipment and research protocols.
- Ability to provide routine analysis and interpretation of research data.
- Passion for laboratory research.
- Bachelor’s degree in biological sciences, bioengineering, pharmaceutical sciences, immunology, chemistry, or other related fields.

The noise level in this setting may be loud due to the noise of ventilation system and hydraulic body hoist.
