Research Assistant I - Neuro-Oncology

SUMMARY

The Research Assistant I provides data assistance in carrying out various research projects.

JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES

Research experiments and projects

• Acts as courier for samples collected in the clinic on NeuroOncology studies and gets them to the lab.
• Follows the proper guidelines for sample transfer that the team follows.

Data gathering and analysis

• Maintains accurate, detailed records on sample being collected and transferred on the protocols.
• Utilizes institutional databases to record and evaluate data in accordance with methods requested.

Data analysis

• Communicate results to and understand instructions from principal investigator and colleagues.
• Helps in pulling reports and working on basic data analysis.

EDUCATION

Required: Bachelor's degree, major course work in one of the basic sciences.
