Research Associate

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Research Associate to join our Analytical Chemistry department. As a Research Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our research and development efforts in the pharmaceutical industry. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in basic lab skills, HPLC operation, and preferably pharmaceutical tablet experience. Fluency in Mandarin and English is required due to our company's international presence.

Responsibilities:

  • Utilize basic lab skills to handle solvents, ensuring proper storage, handling, and disposal procedures are followed.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by adhering to lab safety protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Demonstrate accuracy and precision in weighing substances using balances, with an emphasis on maintaining balance accuracy.
  • Perform dissolution testing to evaluate the release of active pharmaceutical ingredients from solid dosage forms, ensuring compliance with established protocols and standard operating procedures.
  • Operate HPLC instruments, including preparing and injecting samples, optimizing separation conditions, and analyzing chromatograms.
  • Utilize pharmaceutical tablet experience (if applicable) to contribute to tablet formulation development, manufacturing, and quality control processes.
  • Assist in the preparation of solutions by weighing chemicals, adjusting pH levels, and performing volumetric dilutions.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of experiments, data, and observations in laboratory notebooks or electronic systems.
  • Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot experimental issues, interpret data, and contribute to research discussions.
  • Stay updated on the latest analytical techniques, industry trends, and regulatory guidelines relevant to the pharmaceutical field.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant scientific discipline (Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related field).
  • Strong proficiency in basic lab skills, including working with solvents, maintaining lab safety, and ensuring balance accuracy.
  • Experience with HPLC operation, including sample preparation, method development, and data analysis.
  • Pharmaceutical tablet experience is preferred, with knowledge of tablet formulation processes, quality control tests, and troubleshooting.
  • Fluency in Mandarin and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills in both languages.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team-oriented environment.
  • Proficiency in using laboratory equipment and software, including balances, pH meters, HPLC systems, and data analysis software.
  • Familiarity with regulatory guidelines and good laboratory practices (GLP) is desirable.

Benefits: We offer a competitive salary within a pay range of $20 to $40 per hour, commensurate with experience. In addition to salary, the company provides the following benefits:
