Job Summary
Under minimal supervision, conducts various research related activities as assigned, working on projects that focus on a variety of topics related to health and healthcare services. May support multiple projects at the Denver Health main campus, community clinics and urgent outpatient settings. Study subject duties may include conducting recruitment and enrollment activities, performing qualitative and structured interviews, and facilitating focus group sessions. Data management duties may include data collection/entry, database management, analysis and reporting, and dissemination of results. Additional duties may include assisting with literature reviews and regulatory submissions and acting as point of contact for study participants.
Essential Functions:

Conducts study subject activities, which may include chart review, recruitment, enrollment, collecting samples, making calls, scheduling visits, patient navigation, performing qualitative and structured interviews, facilitating focus groups and outcome tracking. (20%)
Ensures eligibility and subject confidentiality, while treating participants with courtesy, dignity, empathy and respect though all verbal and non-verbal communications. May act as primary point of contact for study participants. (20%)
Assists with data management activities, which may include collection, entry and verification for accuracy and integrity, database management, analysis and reporting, and disseminating results. (20%)
Conducts literature reviews, which may include literature searches, organizing results and summarizing findings. (10%)
Assists with preparation and maintenance of all regulatory documentation. (10%)
Builds and maintains good relationships with research subjects, teams, collaborators and colleagues. (10%)
Adheres to all protocol, policy and regulatory requirements required to conduct human subjects research, including training requirements for COMIRB and CITI. (10%)
Education:

Work Experience:

1-3 years Two years of related experience, required Required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Excellent interpersonal skills to interact with investigators, staff, students and participants.
Must be comfortable working with diverse populations.
Sound organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Knowledge of protocol adherence and advanced research practices.
Knowledge of advanced research methods and rules of patient confidentiality.
Knowledge of the study to ensure adherence to all aspects of the study protocol.
Knowledge of spreadsheet and database programs, and moderately advanced data analysis practices.
Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements for study protocols.
Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, learn research methods, and apply general research best practices.
Bilingual skills preferred.
