Research Intern-Low-Dimensional Devices(4788)

We are seeking a highly motivated intern to join our team in San Jose office. The successful candidate will be responsible for device testing, electrical measurement, and data analysis. You'll report to the Technical Manager of Corporate Research and work with senior members to find creative uses of new materials and methods to characterize devices. We are currently operating in a hybrid work schedule with 3 days in office.


This Internship Program is opened to students currently enrolled in a degree -seeking University, and who are graduating in two years with a PhD degree. The Fall 2023 Internship will begin in August 2023 and continue through December 2023.


Responsibilities:

  • Conduct measurement of semiconductor devices using specialized equipment and software
  • Analyze electrical data and identify trends or abnormalities
  • Assist with the development and execution of test plans and procedures
  • Collaborate with engineers and scientists to troubleshoot and resolve issues
  • Maintain accurate records of test results and communicate findings to team members
  • Participate in team meetings and provide input on project progress
  • Contribute to the improvement of testing and analysis processes

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in science or engineering discipline required
  • Strong understanding of electrical fundamentals and semiconductor device physics
  • Proficiency in using laboratory equipment and software for testing and measurement
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as Python or MATLAB

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative
  • Ability and willingness to work in a non-university environment following procedures
