Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and team-oriented Project Specialist to join the Core Research and Technology group to manage cross functional operations within Research. The primary responsibilities include overseeing the day-to-day operations of the core organization, ensuring that all activities are conducted in an efficient, effective, and compliant manner. This includes coordinating with external vendors, project managers, and ensuring alignment with relevant sub-teams.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Coordinating projects within CRT teams to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards
  • Facilitate inter and intra departmental meetings, collaborate with stakeholders to determine agendas, capture key takeaways, and action items
  • Identify and collaborate with external vendors for outsourced projects, maintain timelines, collaborate with legal and internal stakeholders, and provide status reports on progress/ delays
  • Developing and implementing standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines
  • Managing and monitoring inventory levels of laboratory supplies and equipment and making recommendations for procurement and maintenance of equipment
  • Identifying and resolving operational issues that may impact project timelines or quality
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of laboratory operations, including inventory, procurement, and personnel records
  • Collaborating with other departments, such as finance, legal, and regulatory affairs, to ensure efficient and effective operation of the organization

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with 5+ years' relevant experience or M.S. degree with 3+ years' relevant experience; or equivalent
  • Degree in a relevant field, such as biology, chemistry, or business administration
  • Proven experience in laboratory management or operations management in a research biotech organization
  • Familiarity with laboratory equipment and supplies, and the ability to make recommendations for procurement and maintenance
  • Understanding of research methodologies and experimental design
  • Proficiency in relevant software tools, such as Smartsheet, MS Office, PowerBI, laboratory information management systems (LIMS) and project management software

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PMP Certification preferred
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders

The hiring pay range for this position is $75,000 to $95,000 per year based on skills, education and experience relevant to the role. Other components of total compensation include a competitive equity grant at the time of hire (with additional annual grants, and grants upon promotion when applicable), and an annual bonus.
