Responsibilities:
The Function Builder Specialist will assist therapists in daily non-skilled tasks to improve resident’s activity interactions. The responsibility of this position includes carrying out clinician recommended tasks for each resident outside of their therapy sessions while in the rehab setting. Function Builder Specialist will work under the supervision of the Therapy Care Navigator in accordance with the policies and procedures as established by TMC, the facility, payer sources, state, and federal practices. Function Builder Specialist will strive to provide the highest quality of patient engagement while focusing on clinician recommended activities.
Qualifications:
  • Graduate of a High School or equivalent program required.
  • Experience in the Service/Hospitality Industry
  • Must demonstrate the ability to perform the following tasks without posing a threat to the health or safety of him/herself or others without risk to self, co-workers, caregivers, or patient; lift, turn, move position, and transport the patient into and out of beds, chairs, bathtubs, wheelchairs, lifts, etc.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to perform a minimum of minimal assist transfer.” Minimal assist transfers are defined for purposes of this document as the ability to lift and control 50 pounds.
