Are you the kind of person who sketches ideas on napkins, prototypes on weekends, and can’t help but tinker until things just work? We’re looking for a bold, creative, and action-oriented Product Design Engineer to join Sleep Futures, an innovation team within our Research & Technology group. Our mission: rethink what’s possible in sleep technology—by building and testing real hardware, fast.

This is not your typical corporate engineering job. We’re after makers, builders, and hands-on doers. People who take initiative, aren’t afraid to get scrappy, and thrive in ambiguity. You’ll be working on next-gen hardware that helps people sleep better, feel better, and live healthier lives.

Let’s talk about Responsibilites

• Own the end-to-end development of hardware products—from napkin sketch to factory line.
• Prototype fast, test often, and iterate relentlessly.
• Drive cross-functional collaboration with teams like Customer Experience, Product, Manufacturing, and Materials to turn real-world needs into beautifully engineered products.
• Dive deep into unfamiliar domains to understand constraints and craft smart, practical solutions.
• Work closely with vendors and internal teams to optimise for function, manufacturability, and scale.
• Balance aesthetics, user experience, and engineering to deliver best-in-class physical products.

Let’s talk about You

• Experience designing and engineering physical products—especially ones you’ve built, broken, and rebuilt again.
• A background in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or similar.
• Fluency in 3D CAD (Creo, SolidWorks, NX), with an eye for both surfaces and tolerances.
• Experience with high-volume manufacturing (injection molding, LSR, CNC, etc.)
• Strong design instincts paired with real-world problem-solving skills.
• Bonus points for experience in fast-paced environments like startups, product incubators, or hardware labs.
