Computer Support Analyst

RMC is hiring a Computer Support Analyst in Dahlgren, VA. The position is required to be onsite M-F.

The selected applicant will be responsible for:

  • Demonstrating the ability to work independently and as part of a team in researching data and developing analytical techniques and methodologies
  • Maintaining a professional relationship with all customers and clients and providing excellent customer service
  • Attending technical meetings and providing notes and written assessments of technical requirements
  • Demonstrating effective and consistent verbal and written communication
  • Demonstrating effective use of customer Help Desk tracking and ticketing system(s)
  • Assisting users with access and setting up of MS Teams on NMCI workstations
  • Serving as a Navy/Marine Corp Intranet (NMCI) Activity Customer Technical Representative (ACTR):
    • Collecting information of the NMCI ordering requirements; developing order quantities by site, building, and person; assist SCSTC customers in making proper selection of devices and capabilities
    • Preparing Move, Add Changes (MAC) requests and submit for action to move computers, reassign assets, activate ports, and reassign software
    • Updating NET profiles; create various NET services for NMCI task orders; acting as liaison with NMCI help desk on behalf of users with issues seeking resolution
  • Assisting with the onboarding of new users:
    • Check-in/out new users; coordinating with SCSTC N6 government personnel to identify requirements; managing setup schedules; setting up user’s IT equipment; mapping network printers; assisting users with login; providing basic user instructions; updating local inventory records; providing end user assistance and training as needed
    • Documenting internal procedures; developing and maintaining local Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
    • Tracking and processing old equipment for disposition per DoD guidelines
  • Conducting basic installation and configuration of new workstations, peripheral equipment, and software
  • Providing basic level technical support by responding to and resolving end-user problems (MS Office applications; MS Teams)
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Two (2) years’ experience performing administrative tasks supporting a Cybersecurity or Information Technology organization. Experience utilizing MS Office tools required.

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy and quality.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • An active DoD SECRET clearance is required. Applicant selected may be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

**Salary at RMC is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, a candidate's specific combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific requirements. The current salary range for this position will be $50,000 to $86,000 (annually).
