Senior Product Designer, Accounting

At Restaurant365, we’re on a mission to simplify operations for restaurants everywhere. We’re looking for a Senior Product Designer to transform complex accounting processes into intuitive, user-friendly experiences that restaurant operators can rely on. 

In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and accounting experts to design solutions that streamline tasks like invoicing, expense management, reconciliation, and financial reporting. You’ll lead projects from concept to delivery, ensuring restaurant teams can manage their finances with confidence and ease. 

• Own the design process: Lead end-to-end design projects for accounting products, from research and ideation to prototyping and final delivery. 
• Simplify complex workflows: Design intuitive experiences for tasks like expense tracking, bank reconciliation, and generating financial reports. 
• Work with users: Conduct research, usability testing, and gather feedback to understand the challenges faced by restaurant operators and accountants. 
• Collaborate with teams: Partner with product managers, engineers, and accounting subject-matter experts to deliver impactful solutions that meet user needs. 
• Create clarity and consistency: Contribute to and evolve design systems that ensure consistency and scalability across accounting products. 
• Deliver results: Advocate for user needs while balancing business goals and technical constraints to design solutions that drive measurable impact. 

• 5+ years of experience in product design with a strong portfolio showcasing complex, user-centered solutions. 
• Experience with data-driven tools or workflows: You’re comfortable designing for financial, accounting, or operational systems.  
• Strong UX skills: You’re skilled in user research, wireframing, prototyping, and creating intuitive interfaces. 
• Proficiency with design tools: Skilled with Figma (or similar) to produce high-quality designs. 
• Ability to simplify the complex: You can turn technical, compliance-heavy workflows into approachable, easy-to-understand experiences. 
• Collaboration and communication: You thrive in cross-functional teams and can clearly articulate your design rationale. 
• Self-motivated and adaptable: You’re organized, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. 

• Experience designing for accounting, financial tools, or compliance-heavy systems. 
• Understanding of the restaurant industry or other operationally complex businesses. 
• Familiarity with financial challenges in the restaurant industry. 
• Understanding of web technologies like HTML/CSS/JavaScript. 

• This position has a salary range of $108,000 - $162,000/year. The above range represents the expected salary range for this position. The actual salary may vary based upon several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in the role, business line, and geographic location.
