Retail Merchandising Associate

Overview:

We’re looking for a full time Retail Merchandising Associate for our Olathe, Kansas location to lead and participate in marketing onsite or meetings and conference calls for assigned accounts. In this role, you’ll also be responsible for ensuring a cohesive experience between the retail and digital solutions as well as developing and managing plans and programs.

Responsibilities:

Essential Functions

Program manage all aspects of a retail project including marketing plan development, gaining internal buy in, production and implementation of the plan
Works closely with an internal cross-functional team consisting of Sales, Communications, Purchasing, Demand and Transportation to execute the plan on time and within budget
Works closely with external suppliers to develop marketing component, including cost negotiation, factory tours and accurate, on-time, quality solutions
Fully understands the retail landscape.
Conducts retail market tours, shares findings, proposes incremental business opportunities, and takes corrective actions when needed
Attends sales meetings, trade shows or promotional events as needed

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Advertising, Business or related field or the equivalent experience with a minimum 3 years work experience in retail marketing and project management
Demonstrates a proven track record successfully working with retailers to create marketing plans that drive sales
Demonstrated ability to create and maintain cohesive relationships with customers, suppliers and Garmin associates
Demonstrates strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
Demonstrates effective presentation skills
