Revenue Recognition Specialist Hybrid

Position Summary: As a Sr. Revenue Accountant you will work within the Revenue Accounting group to ensure accurate revenue recognition. This position will gain an in-depth understanding in revenue recognition guidelines and policies and accurately apply them to the Company’s business transactions. The Revenue Accountant will report to the Revenue Manager and will have the following responsibility, but not limited to:
  • Perform revenue calculations and reconciliation of actuals to forecast.
  • Support systems and business processes for revenue recognition
  • Manage month end close activities
  • Review customer contracts for revenue impacting terms.
  • Assist in documenting internal controls using SOX checklists.
  • Ensure completeness of all audit documentation
  • Provide financial support to revenue managers in the structure of sales opportunities
  • Track and monitor customer orders, shipments, and invoicing by account.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have solid accounting experience with a demonstrated track record of success working in operations for a highly regarded organization. The qualification includes:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance required.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in revenue with software and hardware products preferred.
  • Revenue recognition experience (ASC606) required.
  • Prior telecom or technology industry experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in Oracle (or other fully integrated ERP system) is a plus; advanced skills in Excel are required.
  • SFDC and REVPRO revenue application experience preferred.
  • Must be a motivated, self-starter with a proactive personality who is able to work independently or with a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent analytical, written/oral communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Salesforce experience strongly preferred.
  • Ability to effectively analyze and prioritize information.
